Yearbook Sales
Time is running out! Order your yearbook now as there will not be many extras for
sale in June. Yearbooks are available for $45 until December 19, 2008. After that
date, the cost increases to $60, with a limited supply available. Order NOW and save
$15! Orders will be taken until January 30, 2009.
Immunizations
All Grade 9 students will have the opportunity to be immunized for Tetanus, Diphtheria and
Pertussis on December 16, 2008. Also, the Grade 9 girls are eligible for a free series of the
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine this school year. The permission forms for
immunizations were sent home in November and should be returned to the main office at
ACSS by December 5th. Please return the consent forms even if you do not consent for
your child to be vaccinated. Additional forms are available from the main office. If you
require further information regarding the immunizations, please contact the Langley
Public Health office, your family doctor, or www.immunizeBC.ca.

The annual Global Education Silent Auction is happening, once again, on Tuesday,
November 25th.
The auction and catered dinner will be held from 5:00 — 8:00 p.m.
for only $15.00
The Global Education Class is looking for donations of new goods,
products, services, tickets, toys, presents, etc. for the silent auction.
The proceeds of
this very worthy event will be donated to an orphanage in Brazil as well as other
potential projects our students are currently researching.

Take Our Kids to Work™
The Langley School District, in co-operation with business, labour and the community, is, once again,
proud to be involved in this exciting project. Last year, our eleventh year to participate in Take Our
Kids to Work™, approximately 1200 Grade 9 students went to work with relatives, friends, and
neighbours. This year Take Our Kids to Work™ day will occur on Wednesday, November 5th.

Terry Fox Run
&
Cops for Cancer Tour
On September 21st we will be holding the Annual Terry Fox Run to coincide with the start of the Cops for Cancer Tour. This will be a big event that will include all three of our feeder elementary schools on the back field. There will be almost 2000 students here.
