SCHOOL PURPOSE STATEMENT  
We exist as a positive learning community where all partners work together so that each student learns to his/her fullest ability.  To do this, we respond to each child’s individual needs.  Success is the only option.

 SCHOOL VISION STATEMENT
        We can only achieve our vision by having our whole school community working together.  Using the District’s Graduate Profile as an organizer, this is what we want for Langley Meadows’ students:

Ethical and Respectful Citizens

All students will act courteously and responsibly with all people and property.  They are helpful not harmful.  They embrace and admire diversity.

Democratic Participants
      All students will act as Canadian and global citizens with knowledge of the world and the catalystic role that they play in it.  They will understand consequences, practice self-control and self-discipline, and use objective problem solving in their everyday lives.

Self-Directed Individuals
      All students will demonstrate self-confidence and self worth, will share a sense of humor, will have a joy of learning, will exhibit integrity and enthusiasm for life.  They will be friendly, kind, compassionate and have a positive sense of belonging.

      All students will be passionate and insightful readers, reflective and articulate writers, skilled in numeracy, creative and logical thinkers, and demonstrate social responsibility.

      All students will demonstrate responsibility, co-operation, honesty, and patience within a group.  They will use sound communication skills and persevere with group goals until these targets are attained.

Quality Contributors
All students will develop quality ideas, products and performances through their learning, talent, creativity, flexibility, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
